Solitaire Antics FAQ's
Some of the games seem to be missing cards.
-
Some versions of Solitaire Antics have this bug for some of the games. Please
visit the Patches/Updates page for a
fix for this problem.
I see the error message "The application Solitaire Antics has unexpectedly
quit (2)".
-
Solitaire Antics requires a color-capable Mac. Monochrome Macs will generate this
error message.
I see an "Error 39" message.
-
This is typically caused by corrupted program files. Delete the game by dragging
it into the trash and emptying it, then reinstall from the original disks. If you
continue to see the problem after installing from floppy disks, the disks may have
gone bad. In that case, please send in those disks for a replacement set.
I see the message "Floating Coprocessor Not Installed".
-
Running Solitaire Antics from a launcher can generate this message. Don't use a
launcher to run Solitaire Antics.
I have a Powerbook 190CS, and the game doesn't work.
-
For some reason, this model of Mac is incompatible with Solitaire Antics. Please
return the game to its place of purchase.
Other strange things are happening.
-
If you installed from a CD, clean the CD's shiny side so there are no scratches,
fingerprints, or dust to block any of the files. Run Apple's Disk First Aid (came
with the System) or Norton Utilities (if you've got it) to check your hard drive
for file corruption. If you installed from floppy disks, check them as well. Then
try deleting the game by dragging it into the trash and emptying the trash, then
reinstalling from the CD.
If you still see problems, try restarting your machine with the extensions off
by holding the shift key as you restart. If that works, one of your system's
extensions is causing the conflict.
